Mania is an architect, researcher and educator. She cofounded meonia—Stockholm and Toronto based Architecture and Design practices. Alongside, she is a postdoctoral scholar at Digital Building Technologies (dbt) at the Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich;
Her research and teaching revolves around the use of algorithms and computation in synergy with digital fabrication tools to create highly expressive architecture. she suggests hybrid manufacturing processes and multi-material approach to production of bespoke architectural components to augment their structural performance as well as architectural expression.
Mania studied architecture at KTH school of Architecture in Stockholm, Sweden, receiving a Master of architecture in 2008, and a Ph. D. in Architecture with specialty in Architectural Technology in 2016. She founded the Design and Making (D&M) Architectural Design studio at LTU, Sweden in 2009 and since, has been teaching and pursuing her practice-based research internationally.
